Bronze Award at the AeroPress 25th Anniversary Art Challenge

I’m delighted to share that my illustration “CAMPING ESSENTIALS” was awarded Bronze (Third Place) in the AeroPress Black, White & Coffee Art Challenge, created in honor of the brand’s 25th anniversary.

The contest invited artists from all over the world to explore a black-and-white coffee theme, and my piece features a cheerful barista pup brewing coffee outdoors in the desert regions spanning Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah — the area where the Mojave Desert unfolds.

The character in the illustration is inspired by Haru, my one-year-old Pomsky. He’s part of the camping crew, always curious, always joyful. Haru, along with my Pomeranian and my son, are the heart behind this piece—my little team under the stars, beside the fire, and in the quiet places where inspiration arrives.

“CAMPING ESSENTIALS” celebrates the small rituals we carry with us wherever we go, especially the comfort of making a cup of coffee under open skies.

Receiving the message from the AeroPress team saying that my submission “truly stood out” was incredibly meaningful. As an artist who works across illustration, writing, and visual storytelling, being recognized by a global coffee community feels both joyful and deeply encouraging.

Thank you, AeroPress, for celebrating creativity and for inviting artists to be part of your anniversary journey.
